Juha has always been interested in mathematics and did extremely well in the equivalent of high school in Finland.
He studied medicine after having to make a difficult choice between that and physics. Sometimes he has been sorry that medicine took the #1 place. He got an MD and PhD degree, specialising in internal medicine. Thereafter he found a good business opportunity and established his own pharmaceutical company, which is now growing quite fast. He is the Chairman of that company but still does some clinical medicine. His hobbies are ham radio, astronomy, mathematics, fishing, snowboarding, fishing (especially pike/perch fishing). He is married and has two children.
